Upon arrival in Nairobi, you’ll be warmly welcomed by your safari guide or tour representative. After a short briefing about the upcoming adventure, begin your journey to the Masai Mara by road or optional flight. Enjoy scenic views of the Great Rift Valley along the way, with stops for photos and refreshments. Arrive at the Masai Mara in the afternoon, just in time for your first game drive. Spot wildlife as you head toward your lodge or tented camp, where you’ll check in, relax, and enjoy dinner surrounded by nature.
The Masai Mara game drive offers an unforgettable wildlife adventure across vast open plains teeming with animals. Led by expert guides, you’ll explore the reserve in a 4x4 vehicle, spotting the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino—along with cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and countless antelope. Early morning and late afternoon drives provide the best chances to see predators in action and witness the beauty of the savannah bathed in golden light. During migration season (July–October), you may also witness the dramatic river crossings of wildebeest and zebras.
On the final day, enjoy an early morning game drive to catch a last glimpse of the Mara’s incredible wildlife as the sun rises. After breakfast at the lodge or camp, check out and begin your journey back to Nairobi, taking in the scenic landscapes one last time. You’ll arrive in the afternoon, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel or the airport, marking the end of a memorable Masai Mara safari adventure.
