What sets us apart
"Patrick's Samburu tours are the BEST. Patrick and our driver Alex know the wildlife — they explained every variety we saw. We are so lucky to see the Big 5 because they know where to find them."

Beyond the classic Big Five, Samburu is home to five striking species rarely seen elsewhere in Kenya — arid-adapted, distinctive, and one of the strongest reasons to visit this corner of the country.
Grevy's Zebra
The largest and rarest of Africa's zebras, known for its narrow stripes and striking white belly — endangered and largely confined to Samburu's dry plains.
Reticulated Giraffe
Instantly recognizable by its sharp, geometric coat pattern — one of the most photogenic sights on a Samburu game drive.
Somali Ostrich
Distinguished by its blue-grey neck and legs, this striking bird is unique to the arid north.
Beisa Oryx
A desert specialist with long, rapier-like horns, perfectly adapted to Samburu's dry, open terrain.
Gerenuk
Nicknamed the "giraffe gazelle" for the way it balances on its hind legs to browse — a favorite for photographers.

Here's what other clients had to say about our tours.
It was my first time tour group and it was amazing and great experienced. We had lots of fun singing and dancing with the local. From service, reliability and tour itself were superb. I highly recommend Patrick Samburu Eco Tours to anyone. I shall come back see the migration.“
Patrick’s Samburu tours are the BEST. Patrick and our driver Alex know ledge about the wildlife’s, they explained every variety of all the wildlife that we saw. We are so lucky to be able to see the Big 5 because they know where to find the. About the accommodations are excellent and the food that was all inclusive. From the airport transfer to the end we had a wonderful experience. I recommend Patrick’s Samburu Eco tours if you really want to experience excellent service.“
5 Day Private Tour with Patrick Sambureco Eco Tour was colorful discovery of Massai Mara reserve has given us animals that we don't see anywhere else. We had closed encounters with the Elephants Buffalos Lions and Leopard. The sea of flamingos at Lake Nakuru is a living painting and the closed encounters with the Rhinos and many species of birds there have enriched our experiences. We had high end accommodations, provided us with good food. At the end of the tour Alex invited us at his home, had sumptuous meal prepared by his wonderful grandmother Hannah. The next day Patrick took us to the breeding center for the Rothchild's Giraffe which are endangered species. I got so close to one almost giving me a kiss. We went also at the museum that tells the history of Kenya. Such an awesome experience wouldn't been possible without the vision and interpretation of our guide Alex and operator Patrick.“
Patrick's tour service was excellent. Out trip was well organized and ran on schedule. I was late getting into Nairobi but they were in the airport waiting for me. I didn't want a taxi that late. They dropped me at my city hotel and I got a little sleep. We were up early though to beat the traffic and headed for the Maasai Mara. I wanted to get to a different side of the park so we went down to the Talek gate. Our tented camp was right on the river. We arrived in time for an evening drive. We were right back out the next morning, and this time we followed a big lioness as she hunted in the bush. A couple more game drives and it was time to get back to Nairobi. I had one day before I had to leave. We went for a morning game drive in Nairobi National Park. We went to the Sheldrick Elephant Rescue center, and the Giraffe center too. We finished up with a great dinner at the Carnivore restaurant.“
