On arrival at Masai Mara, you will register into your camp or tented camp and have a scrumptious lunch. In the evening, you will go out for your first game drive in the reserve, and you might view lions, elephants, giraffes, and other animals. As the golden savannah sets against the declining sun, you will go back to your lodge or camp for dinner and night stay.
The day starts with an early morning game drive, the best time to witness predators in action as predators such as lions and cheetahs hunt during the early morning hours. After breakfast, you will embark on a full-day tour of the Masai Mara, Africa’s most famous wildlife reserve. Depending on the season, you will see the Great Migration, when millions of zebras and wildebeests cross the Mara River in search of greener grazing. You will visit the Mara River, where you will see enormous crocodiles and hippos, and explore different parts of the reserve in search of the Big Five. After a picnic lunch in the bush, you will continue with game viewing, basking in the grandeur of the vast plains. Late afternoon, you may visit a Maasai village to learn about their fascinating culture and traditions. In the evening, you will return to your camp or lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, you will depart and head to Tanzania. You will drive to the Isebania border, where you will continue with immigration and change vehicles as you enter Tanzania. Your safari now takes you further into the world-famous Serengeti National Park, a wilderness area that’s famous for having a variety of wildlife and remarkable landscapes. Once you arrive, you will enjoy an en-route game drive while making your way to your camp or lodge. Serengeti is home to the Big Five, cheetahs, hyenas, and large grazing herds of animals. Upon checking in, you will be taken on an afternoon game drive to explore this incredible ecosystem. Evening is spent lounging in the camp or the lodge, while you dine for dinner and have an overnight stay.
Rise early to take a sunrise game drive, a magical time when animals are in full activity. The Serengeti’s endless grasslands offer dramatic backdrops for sightings of lions, leopards, elephants, and more. After breakfast, you will continue with a full-day game drive, visiting different parts of the park, including the Seronera Valley, renowned for its high predator concentration. If you are traveling during the time of the Great Migration, chances are that thousands of wildebeests and zebras migrate across the wide open plains. You can take a hot air balloon safari in the early morning for a unique experience, getting to see the stunning view from a bird’s-eye view. After a picnic lunch in the wild, you will continue exploring further before getting back to your camp or lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, you will have your last game drive in the Serengeti while exiting the park and driving towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. An optional stop along the way is at Olduvai Gorge, one of the most important archaeological sites in the world, where the fossils of early man were discovered. You will then proceed to the Ngorongoro Crater, a natural wonder and home to an incredible concentration of wildlife, including the endangered black rhino. You will arrive at your lodge or camp, which has a spectacular view of the crater, and check in. After some time to relax, you will dine and overnight at your lodge or camp, prepared for an action-packed day ahead.
You will drive 600 meters into the bottom of the Ngorongoro Crater for a classic game drive. The unique crater ecosystem supports an array of diverse wildlife including lions, elephants, buffalos, and enormous colonies of flamingos along the soda lake. The productive grazing grass also attracts thousands of wildebeests and zebras and hence, paradise for predators. Following an exhilarating morning of game viewing, you will have lunch over a picnic setting inside the crater before climbing up to the rim. After this, you will head to Lake Manyara National Park, a scenic park with dense woodlands, teeming birdlife, and tree-climbing lions.
