Details Itinerary

Your safari adventure begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi, heading toward the world-renowned Masai Mara National Reserve. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking views of the Great Rift Valley before arriving at your camp or lodge in time for lunch. After settling in, embark on your first game drive in the afternoon, where you may encounter lions, elephants, giraffes, and more across the sweeping savannahs. Return to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay in the heart of the Mara.

Today is dedicated to a full-day game drive in the Masai Mara. With a packed picnic lunch, explore deeper into the reserve in search of the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino—and witness the teeming wildlife that makes the Mara famous. Keep an eye out for cheetahs, hyenas, and perhaps even a river crossing if you’re visiting during the migration season. Optionally, visit a Maasai village to learn about the culture and traditions of this iconic tribe. Return to camp in the evening for a relaxing dinner under the stars.
After breakfast, depart the Mara and drive toward the Great Rift Valley lake region. You may choose to head to Lake Nakuru, known for its rhinos and seasonal flamingo flocks, or Lake Naivasha, famous for its freshwater ecosystem. Arrive in time for lunch, and in the afternoon, enjoy a boat ride on Lake Naivasha or a short game drive if you’re visiting Nakuru. Dinner and overnight at a lakeside lodge or tented camp.
Spend the day exploring your chosen lake region. In Naivasha, take a morning boat ride across the calm waters to see hippos and water birds, followed by a walking safari on Crescent Island among giraffes, zebras, and antelopes. In Nakuru, start your day with a morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, home to endangered white rhinos and the elusive leopard. In the afternoon, enjoy leisure time at your lodge or visit a local cultural site. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge or camp.
After breakfast, begin your journey south to Amboseli National Park, located at the foot of Africa’s highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro. This scenic drive takes you through rural Kenya and offers a glimpse into daily life along the route. Arrive in Amboseli in the afternoon, in time for an evening game drive where you might spot large herds of elephants with the iconic backdrop of Kilimanjaro. Settle into your lodge or tented camp for dinner and a peaceful night under the stars.
Enjoy a full day of wildlife viewing in Amboseli, one of Kenya’s most picturesque parks. Begin with an early morning game drive to catch animals at their most active. Visit Observation Hill for panoramic views of the park’s plains, marshes, and the snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro. Look out for lions, cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes, zebras, and large herds of elephants, which the park is famous for. After a picnic or lodge lunch, continue your afternoon drive before returning to camp for dinner and overnight.
Rise early for one last game drive in Amboseli, capturing final moments of wildlife and landscape. After breakfast, begin your drive back to Nairobi, arriving in the late afternoon. Depending on your preferences and time, you may stop for souvenir shopping or visit popular attractions such as the Giraffe Centre or Karen Blixen Museum. Check into your Nairobi hotel for dinner and a restful overnight stay.
On your final day, enjoy a relaxed breakfast at your hotel. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time for a brief city tour or shopping excursion. Later, transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward journey, marking the end of your unforgettable 8-day Chui Safari.
