Details Itinerary
Your adventure begins with a warm welcome upon arrival in Nairobi, Kenya’s bustling capital. After meeting your guide, you’ll depart the city and head towards the scenic Rift Valley, arriving at Lake Naivasha or Lake Nakuru, depending on your selected accommodation. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking views of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. In the afternoon, explore the shores of Lake Naivasha on a boat safari among hippos and birds or enjoy a game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for its flocks of flamingos and chances of spotting rhinos and leopards. Settle into your lodge for a peaceful evening surrounded by nature.
Spend your second day immersed in the wildlife-rich surroundings of Naivasha or Nakuru. If in Lake Nakuru, enjoy a morning and afternoon game drive in search of white and black rhinos, buffalo, Rothschild’s giraffes, and elusive predators like leopards. If staying in Naivasha, consider a guided walking safari on Crescent Island, where you can walk safely among zebras, giraffes, and gazelles, or visit Hell’s Gate National Park, known for its dramatic gorges and geothermal activity. Return to your lodge in time for sunset views and a relaxing dinner.
After breakfast, depart for the world-renowned Maasai Mara, Kenya’s premier wildlife destination and a haven for big cats — especially cheetahs. The scenic drive takes you through the heart of the Maasai lands, and you’ll arrive at your camp or lodge in time for a late afternoon game drive. Begin your search for the Mara’s famous cheetah coalitions, often spotted in the open savannah stalking prey. In the evening, enjoy dinner and storytelling around the campfire under starry African skies.
Today is dedicated to exploring the Maasai Mara, home to the Big Five and a paradise for big cat enthusiasts. With a full-day game drive (or split morning and afternoon drives), track the movement of cheetahs, lions, and leopards across the vast plains. Your expert guide will help you understand predator behavior and may even take you to areas where cheetahs are known to hunt. Optional activities include a Maasai village visit or a sunrise hot air balloon safari for unforgettable aerial views. Return to camp for your final night in the wild.
Enjoy one last early morning game drive in the Maasai Mara, capturing the golden light and the last glimpses of wildlife. After breakfast, begin your journey back to Nairobi. Along the way, take in the scenery and reflect on the unforgettable moments shared with Africa’s fastest and most graceful predator. Arrive in Nairobi in the late afternoon and check into your hotel or transfer directly to the airport.
Depending on your flight schedule, you can explore Nairobi National Park, visit the Giraffe Centre or David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, or enjoy a meal at the famous Carnivore Restaurant before your transfer to the airport for your international departure.
