Your 12-day safari adventure begins upon arrival in Nairobi, where you’ll be greeted by your guide and drive to Samburu National Reserve. After the scenic journey, you’ll settle into your lodge or camp. In the afternoon, enjoy your first game drive in Samburu, famous for its unique wildlife, including the Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, and Somali ostrich. Overnight at your lodge or camp.
Today, you’ll embark on a full day of exploration in Samburu with two game drives—one in the morning and another in the afternoon. This reserve offers incredible wildlife viewing, from the “Samburu Big Five” (Grevy’s zebra, Beisa oryx, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, and gerenuk) to the stunning landscapes surrounding the Ewaso Nyiro River. Between drives, relax at your lodge, taking in the views of the wilderness. Overnight stay.
Enjoy a morning game drive in Samburu before driving south to the Aberdares National Park. This cool, lush park is known for its lush forests, waterfalls, and sightings of elephants and other forest animals. After breakfast, explore the Aberdares further with a morning game drive or nature walk.
